Lentils with basmati rice

This evening I'm preparing lentils with rice.
I cutted some red union and a carrot in small peaces and fried it olive oil with a leaf of laurel. I putted the lentils inside and added some white wine, waited until the wine evaporated and then I added water, covering the lentils completely. Left it to boil for about 30 min. Added some, salt, white pepper and some oil and served it with basmati rice.
